Colony: Survival is a sci-fi 4X mobile strategy game from Parallel Studios in which players build, manage, and defend a base on war-torn Earth. Players guide Colonists as they gather resources, craft weapons, upgrade buildings, recruit more Colonists, and fight in lane combat. Its AI features let players describe and create gear and talk directly with a Colonist through a chat interface.
Is Colony a colony-building game?
Yes. Players claim a plot of land and build their Colony from the ground up, starting with the Reactor and expanding with buildings such as the Barracks and Canteen. Upgrading each building improves the overall Colony.
What platforms is Colony available on?
Colony: Survival is available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It can be played on compatible iPhones, iPads, Android phones, and Android tablets.
How do conversations with the AI colonist work?
Players shape a Colonist's personality at the start of the game, influencing the Colonist's attitudes and motivations. Through the chat interface, the Colonist can respond to prompts, discuss decisions, and help the player work toward goals.
What are generative colony challenges?
Colony challenges can include Dilemmas, where custom responses let players propose their own ideas and choices instead of selecting only preset options. These ideas shape how players and Colonists approach Colony problems. Access to custom responses may depend on your subscription.
How does AI-generated 3D equipment work?
The Fabricator lets players describe and generate equippable 3D cosmetic items, including helmets and weapons. Players review a 2D version before creating the 3D item, which they can then equip to a Colonist. The feature uses Weave, the Fabricator currency.
Can players create weapons and helmets?
Yes. Players can use the Fabricator to generate 3D weapons and helmets that a Colonist can equip. The interactive character Skipjack can also turn ideas for weapons or tools into usable in-game items that solve larger Colony problems.
Is Colony multiplayer?
Yes, players can scout and attack other players' colonies on the PvP world map and compete on the leaderboard. PvE lane battles are also available now. Scouting and attacking computer-controlled PvE colonies on the world map is coming soon.
